Director's Letter - Ver. 2.1 Update
This is Director Funakoshi.
Thank you for playing SEGA FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONS.
As mentioned during the recent SEGA FCC TV broadcast, our future updates will focus on streamlining, expanding, and improving the game.
We aim to address the three themes of "time-saving," "expansion," and "satisfaction."
Rather than simply speeding up Career Mode, we want to streamline the game with various quality-of-life improvements. This is our main focus.
We will also expand the game through new content. Our goal is to keep the SFCC growing and engaging over time.
In addition, we will improve the game by ironing out the areas that users find frustrating. We want to stay true to football while creating an experience that feels fair and rewarding to everyone.
Updates will include these elements going forward, starting with 2.1.
Now, let's take a look at what's coming in Ver. 2.1.
*For details on bug fixes and other issues, please refer to the Bug Report page, which will be updated after maintenance.
New Content
International Cup Event
Following the update, the International Cup Event will be available for a limited time.
In this event, choose one of 16 nations and compete to become tournament champions.
Earn a variety of rewards based on your final ranking.
You can also customise each national team by using your own Prime Players and Formation Combos.
In addition, gain points through your managerial achievements and performance in the event, then use them to upgrade players from each nation.
Since this isn't an event that comes around every day, we're making it available for an extended period. Get out there and lead all 16 nations to glory!
Special 1v1
We're also launching Special 1v1, an all-new real-time competitive event.
Running for one week only, try out practice matches to learn the rules, then take on intense standard matches against other users when they're available during the weekend.
Because this is a real-time competitive event, match times have been condensed to ensure everyone can easily join matches and find suitable opponents.
*Please check the event announcement for details on the event schedule.
The event also features a special rules that change with each iteration.
In doing this, we hope to create opportunities for players with lower attributes to shine, offering users the chance to branch out and train a whole new squad of footballers.
You can play up to nine standard matches during each event, and the rewards you earn increase with your number of wins.
This event is a great way to earn SSR Training Card Pieces, so don't miss out!
Reset Player Upgrades

With many users wanting to respec their teams and upgrade the new players added in the Roster Update, we've introduced the feature to do just that.
It costs GB to reset. Without the cost, the optimal way to play would be to simply respec every time you need to use certain players for matches or Career Mode.
Though the use cases are limited, we hope it comes in handy.
New Direct Offer Settings

To further streamline the game, we've added new Direct Offer settings.
Unchecking the option shown above will disable the sequence that plays when a Direct Offer is rejected.
It's a minor change, but we'd like to continue building on these small time-saving improvements to make the game better over time.
Improvements
Skippable Animations

The Underdog, Three Consecutive Wins, Ten Consecutive Wins, Hat-Trick animations can now be skipped by tapping the screen or with other inputs.
Regarding these effects, we have modified them so they can be skipped through screen taps or other inputs.
We're implementing this feature due to the number of requests we receivedd after making a similar change to the champion sequence in Career Mode.
We welcome any feedback you have on ways we can streamline the game more, and thank you for your continued support.
Loan Adjustments
Previously, no actions could be taken while funds were being deducted after loaning a player. With this update, you can now navigate menus and search for other players to loan.
We made this change based on feedback, and because we felt it frustrated many people that it wasn't already an option.
Tournament Improvements

We made some highly requested improvements to tournaments.
1. You can host tournaments without participating
2. Tournaments will now start immediately after all participants have readied up
These are both long-requested features, and though they took some time to implement, they're finally here. We hope they improve the tournament experience.
Item Menu Adjustments
Previously, the Items menu was located under Menu > Other > Items, but now that there are more selectable items, we've moved it to a location that's easier to access.
View Previous Scouting Results

We've added a 'Previous Scouting Results' option to the Scouting screen.
If you're unable to view your Scouting results for any reason, you'll be able to check them here.
Adjustments to Restricted Words

Previously, we updated the MCO chat so that restricted words are replaced with '*' when posted. This has now been extended to MCO descriptions, Owner's Comments, and user profiles.
Other Changes
The following changes have been made:
• Added Yuka Kageyama to Assistant Selection
• Added club emblems and kit designs
• Added the Archive Coin Trader
Closing Remarks
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
We would like to once again thank everyone who has shared their feedback with us.
As a token of our gratitude, all managers will receive 10 Prime Scouting Tickets and 100 Archive Coins following the update.
We hope you continue to support SEGA FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONS.
